Denise Wypiszenski

Denise Wypiszenski, President, Orchid Network LLC spent more than 17 years in the financial services industry before founding her company. Most recently, she was Chief Operating Officer/Managing Director of Robert W. Baird’s Private Wealth Management (PWM) business. She oversaw Financial Advisor and Branch Manager recruiting and transition, resulting in the identification and hiring of key talent essential to expanding Baird’s footprint nationwide. She helped shape and communicate PWM’s strategy to key business partners. Denise also had direct responsibility for critical strategic initiatives including alignment of product and services support, professional development, marketing and sales efforts, and business development. Denise started her career in 1993 as a successful Financial Advisor with Smith Barney in Omaha, NE. Throughout her career, and several relocations with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney (and their predecessor firms), she was promoted to several senior/executive management positions ranging from branch and sales management to recruiting and operations. Her successful career followed the path of Financial Advisor, National Training Officer, Branch Management, Director of National Recruiting, and Chief Operating Officer – Western Division. Throughout her tenure with the firm, she identified, sourced, and hired professionals at multiple levels of the organization, became an authority on recruiting, and built an extensive network within the financial services industry. Denise holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of NE at Omaha where she graduated cum laude with a double major in Finance and Banking. She currently resides in Lemont, IL, with her husband and two children.

Kim Redmon
Kim Redmon, CIMA©, President, KAR Consulting Inc.
Kim Redmon, President of KAR Consulting, Inc., founded the company in 2010 to aid financial advisors in reinventing and shaping the future of the their business models. KAR Consulting focuses on the real issues and opportunities in reinventing FA practices from transactional to true advisory models with tangible results. Kim brings 17 years of experience at MSSB (and it’s predecessors) to KAR. Most recently, Kim was an Associate Divisional Director for Consulting Group (CG) at MSSB where she oversaw a 17 state division. She created and delivered sales and training programs and strategy to increase assets in advisory, to increase ROAs by pricing appropriately, and to increase the participation of advisors in advisory programs. Kim started her career in 1993 at Smith Barney Shearson in California as an Investment Analyst for two elite advisory teams. Her focus was on portfolio performance measurement, asset allocation modeling, portfolio optimization, asset manager research and client relationship management. She continued her role as an Investment Analyst with a move to Chicago and became the Midwest Divisional Analyst for CG before taking on the role of CG Regional Director where she was responsible for advisory sales and distribution for over 700 advisors. Consistently ranking #1 in new assets to advisory, retention of assets in advisory, and new product sales, Kim was named CG Regional Director of the Year in 2006. Kim is recognized in the industry as an advisory expert and regularly speaks at regional and national meetings. She is a Board Member of Alexian Brothers Women & Children’s Hospital Foundation. Kim received a BS in Math from Arizona State University and the CIMA© (Certified Investment Management Analyst) designation from Wharton. She currently resides in Schaumburg, IL with her husband and three children.

John Cianciulli
John P. Cianciulli, President, Team Edge Consulting LLC
John P. Cianciulli, President of Team Edge Consulting, designs and delivers consulting and coaching solutions for Wealth Advisory firms and teams in the financial services industry. John has over 20 years of industry experience with Morgan Stanley and predecessor firms. In his most recent role as the Director of Team Development and Practice Management, John led the firm’s initiatives to form and develop industry-leading Wealth Advisory teams. He was the architect and keynote presenter at several of the firm’s Financial Advisor programs and he has personally coached many of the firm’s top producing advisors and teams, including those in the Barron’s Top 100. In John’s previous roles as a successful Smith Barney Financial Advisor, Branch Manager, Team Consultant and Manager of FAA Training, he gained hands-on experience that has provided insights into the strategies, tactics and behaviors that distinguish the industry’s top performers. John utilizes his certification as a Certified Professional Behavioral and Values Analyst to guide teams with their group dynamics, role delineation and communication. John has an MBA in Finance from Drexel University and a BA in Business from Penn State. He lives in suburban Philadelphia with his wife and two children.

Felix River
Felix Rivera, Managing Partner, ICA Strategies LLC

Felix Rivera, a Managing Partner at ICA Strategies, is responsible for product development and third party marketing.  Felix, a 27 year industry veteran, has excelled in a broad range of senior level corporate positions before launching ICA in 2010. Originally joining Shearson Lehman Brothers, Felix spent 16 years with Smith Barney and its predecessor firms.  During his tenure, he led the Managed Accounts Operations Division before moving into sales and marketing as head of the country’s largest Rep as Portfolio Manager program.  Prior to forming ICA, Felix was responsible for the setup and launch of Biondo Investment Advisors, LLC, an independent dually registered RIA and Broker Dealer for which he served as Chief Operating Officer. Felix has successfully assisted countless Financial Advisors in building their businesses with higher ROAs through scalable portfolio management and product strategies.  He currently sits on the board of the Advisors Preferred Series Trust Mutual Funds, Blue Arc Multi-Strategy Fund and the Centerstone Family of Funds. In addition, he previously served on the Ralph Parks Cyclical Equity Fund from 2007-2009. Felix lives in Englewood, NJ, with his wife, two sons and daughter. He attended Baruch College in NYC.

Arin Epstein, Managing Partner, ICA Strategies LLC
Arin Epstein, a Managing Partner at ICA Strategies, is responsible for strategy and platform consulting. For the last 17 years, Arin has earned a reputation as a problem solver who specializes in executing complex strategic projects. As Managing Director for technology strategy at Citi Smith Barney, Arin was responsible for strategic projects, Advisor Technology, Client Performance Reporting, and the award winning client website SB.com. At Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Arin had responsibility for client development and segment marketing, developing highly successful programs to support Advisors working with retirees and privately held business owners. Arin lives in Brooklyn, NY, with his wife and two daughters. He has earned degrees in Physics from Reed College and Chemical Engineering from Columbia University.

David Westcott
David Westcott, CEO, Westcott Associates Marketing & Media

David Westcott has more than 20 years of experience as a marketing and media executive, promoting some of the largest brands on Wall Street including Citi, J.P Morgan and Morgan Stanley. He formed Westcott Associates Marketing & Media LLC, in 2010 to work with an array of financial service firms including wealth management, asset management and investment banking firms.  In addition, he has deep experience with Independent Financial Advisors (RIA), helping them develop and execute marketing strategy that creates firm branding and messaging for their clients, targeted prospects and the community in which they serve. Over the past five years, Westcott Associates has worked with more than 30 Advisor teams, assisting them in creating their own brands in their transition to independent firms. Prior to forming Westcott Associates, David was an Executive Director, Marketing and Advertising Director for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. His responsibilities included UHNW Target Marketing, Institutional Equity Services, Private Client Services and Smith Barney Television. As the Director of Marketing and Advertising for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney’s Corporate Client Group, he successfully marketed the largest equity compensation plans business in the world. David had also managed a multi-million dollar live broadcast television facility for Smith Barney for more than a decade. David earned his Masters’ Degree in Film/Communications from Emerson College and his BS in Journalism from the University of Maryland. Over his career in the industry, he has built an extensive network of skilled marketing and media professionals.
